Chip in block

Hi, guys ive had my engine pulled apart for a week now, and look what ive found:

I think this is how the exhaust is getting into my water.

nah the cylinder holes are changeable, having to looked at today. but if i have to get a short block, ill get one of thoes 2.2L ones :)
