Rev 2 ecu chipped or not?

got engine loom ecu etc today, and engine had a forge wastegate on it so think it might be putting out more boost than standard,

but while checking things out a mate said has it been chipped he said if it has it will have a piggyback ecu or a second/ daughter board above the main board in the ecu is this right?

mine seems to have a smaller board in there too or is it just standard?

Toyota ECUs can't be 'chipped' in the same way say an audi one can, they are pretty locked down.
