Hi all, slightly recovered now.

I was having a gander under the car last night before the car goes off to get setup, my Rack ends are bent at the thread where someone has obviously tried to adjust them. I'm going to order some front tie rods just now while I'm at it and may aswell take out the rack and fit the quaife short ratio. Does anyone know where I can get new rack ends or is the only option second hand ones and do I need to get the whole rack do you think?

Cheers for any info guys.

Michael.

Didn't David Sleith have a post on here about changing the rack ends? Think he got them from Toyota for not a lot of money.

Just took the rack out and changed the bush and the rod ends. Inners were ok.

Any ideas where I can get the inners? How did you remove the rack David?

You split the rod end ball joints, and then its just four bolts underneath the car and the uj at the base of the steering column inside the car. The rack pulls out from the drivers side wheel arch. Easy job.

There is a washer with a slight angled lip on it holding the inners which you bend back and then they unscrew
