another one to enter the WS swapshop.... ivans mk2 v6...

http://www.twobrutal.co.uk/forum/images/recovered/2007/06/174.jpg

and its orrible engine...

http://www.twobrutal.co.uk/forum/images/recovered/2007/06/175.jpg

later the same day and the engine is out....

http://www.twobrutal.co.uk/forum/images/recovered/2007/06/176.jpg

the gearbox was split from the engine and my god this is the oiliest gearbox ive ever seen in my life! the engine must have been constantly puking up on it....

http://www.twobrutal.co.uk/forum/images/recovered/2007/06/177.jpg

We are dropping a walbro fuel pump into this one so its future proofed for a turbo install etc...so while dropping the tank we came across the pipe from hell had well n truly burst! has been doing so for some time as well unbeknown to its owner...

http://www.twobrutal.co.uk/forum/images/recovered/2007/06/178.jpg

We will or course fix this while its there.

Also the v6 destined for this car got stripped down to the block...

Lots more to come from this build.

Now there's a very nice looking car ;) You weren't joking when you said the pipe from hell was common were you!

Is an uprated fuel pump required for a SC install as well?

cheech
27-06-2007, 20:07
that looks fantastic as always Paul. I knew there was a slight oil leak (thats been going on for a while) somewhere but didnt realise the extent of the mess.

Thanks for sorting out the pipe from hell. No wonder i was having cooling issues 2 weeks before handing the car over to you.

looking forward to seeing the rest! Great work so far.

P.S. need any more hobnobs??

Jiff Lemon
27-06-2007, 20:07
Suspected we may have the pipe from hell issue - Was losing about a litre of Coolant a day in the last few weeks! :eek2: Still, told him he may as well try and blow the thing sky high as the V6 was coming...

how bad was the Clutch Paul? I reckon it was fubar

Paul Woods
28-06-2007, 06:41
clutch was fooked big style, might as well have had a bit of MDF in there mating the engine to the gearbox lol

mark if you want to add the SC in the future you will need to uprate the fuel pump and add my patented ISCV throttle body adaptor.

cheech ,nobbage is good at the moment,we are 7 packets in credit lol

Paul Woods

the silver we use is acutally a radiator enamel from B & Q,works really well, looks right and doesnt come off.

Paul Woods
