i came to unlock my engine lid on a mk2 this afternoon and the catch behind the seat mover but lid did not come up it dont seem to have snapped anyone know how to get in

have you tried getting someone to push the lid down whilst you pull the release lever? That sometimes works if the lid is a bit tight.... otherwise erm you could train a mouse to use a spanner and to climb into the engine bay to release the latch?

i managed cheers chaps i pulled on the top and up it popped

put loads of vasolene on it now lol so its well lubricated

Just check the rubber stops on it aren't too tight that can often stop it popping open! I really don't wanna know about what you've been doing with that vasolene! lol
