Dump valve

On the 3sgte dump valve there is a little valve only problem is i broke it a while back and just blocked the pipe but ever since it has had a rough-ish idle . I'm sure i read somewhere that the standard valve opens at idle to by pass the turbo ? So was thinking i should replace the valve ,is it just a one way valve or something more special?

it's a 1.5-way valve! (it goes both ways - ooer!, but one direction has more restriction than the other) Cost is something silly like £40 from Mr T... and yep, you need it.

I think Paul said something about the same valve being used on the MK1 4AGE inlet manifold somewhere though.....

Ah cheers , thought it might of been something like that as i couldn't see how the vacuum was going to be released .
