I've read a few conflicting reports on here - do 182's fit with their carriers onto a mk1b?
I might have the option of picking some up - not really sure what condition they're in but well, not to look a gift horse!!!

I understand that I will need new pads - do I need new discs as well?

Also will they fit under the standard mk1b alloys?

if they fit as a few people have said, then i beleive youll need the ST185 277mm discs and the ST182 pads. but i have no idea if they actually fit or not tbh!

Did Lodge or Tony not do it on their brother's Celica, which would be the same as the mr2 (apart from the pcd)?

If you go to brakesinternational.com, you can compare the different calipers, and its interesting to note that they give exactly the same spec and part number for both ST183 and ST185, ergo, they use the same caliper....however, can't gurentee that they 100% use the same carrier (looks like it from that link though).

Just a quick update.

Well I just got a set of discs and calipers (although the chap forgot to post me the carriers and pad retainers..!) from a 91' UK celica GTi and these seem to be exactly the same spec as the ST185's - Same size disc(277mm x 25mm) and caliper looks the same (roughly 54mm piston..?) so hopefully get these fitted in the next week or so and provide a definative answer...

Blueprint list the exact same discs and pads for the later ST182 as they do for the import ST185 in their catalogue. saw this the other week when i was getting pads for my setup and had to reference to the discs to figure out which sized ones i needed.

so im 99% sure they will be identical, based on that and some other information people have provided in the past :)
