Are these left handed bolts?

Been trying to remove the pulley bolts and the camshafts but i can't undo the end bolts. Anyone know how to?

I've jammed the camshaft with a bar and tried undoing the bolt but it won't budge.

More brute force or am i doing it wrong?

Cheers tone, so it's an SST problem.

How do you lock it with the pulley tool? 2 bolts thruogh the end of the tool into where the 2 gold bolts, that you can see through the pulley, are situated the now?

Would that not obstruct getting the socket onto the pulley bolt?

I'll get another one of those sensors sumwhere, cheers for looking though mate.

That would be the best way. I just used a hammer to tap the bolt to loosen it. Then used a impact gun. The impact is good for loosinging things with out spinning them.

The old yin has built an SST out of a large bit of metal but we'll see what happens with that.

Keep us posted Tone.

Wasn't going to bother removing the crank cause i'm only doing the headgaskets.

Ok, this could be another stupid idea but the old yin reckons you can take the cams, pulleys and backplate all off in a oner, saves messing with SST's.

Any ideas if it can be done like that?

Dunno if it's gonna cause major problems on refit but the cams are off, still attached to pulley's.

Thinking is, it'll keep the timing correct. Well that part of it anyway, the outer cams line up with the holes in the end of the camshafts at 90degrees from vertical.

Still gonna have to fabricate an SST for the crankshaft pulley. :(

hmmm, could make reassembly a touch tricky mate;

But whilst your stripping down, anything is progess!

Yeah i think it'll be tight but saved a lil hassle with the pulleys.

Headbolts won't be here untill Wed anyways so i got till next weekend to decide what to do.
