Fuel Tank Removal HELP!

Right i'm stuck
Been trying to change the fuel pump but can't get the tank off.

I have disconnected all the pipes in the engine bay, swung the radiator pipes to one side.

undone 2 brackets.

Is there something to undue from inside the car???

under the gear stick surround and ashtray they're is a small section, (I think the fuel pressure sender is here) there are 4/6 screws to be undone. Some one will correct me if I'm wrong but I think you need to undo these to drop the tank.

I dont know about the mk2 but on the mk1 there is an electrical conector for the fuel level sended near where the gear stick is there may be something else as well but i cant think of anything right now.

got it off,

you're right there are electrical connectors under the ashtray, but you have to remove center consol, stroage box and stereo trim and the gear leaver to get at them. They are under a plate secured by 2 bolts.

Also there's a 3rd strap secured with 1 bolt and then it swings away.
