I thnk the main difference is that the ST205 can a dumpvalve and the ST185 can't?

Both right, the st185 CC is slightly smaller and doesnt have provision for a DV. I got a flange welded to mine to allow me to fit a DV, cost a tenner :)

not me but remeber seeing a 165 one there but there is loads of difference between a 165 and the 185/205 one so perhaps there was a 185 one there as well!

yeah the 165 is about half the size and only good for sub 250bhp iirc..
