My car's finally been repaired and delivered back to me after four months in storage with the insurance company :naughty:

Then the rad burst on the way back from the body shop and I spent the whole of Saturday replacing it. Now finally after four months I have my baby back.

But with a cambelt due and a clutch change inevitable its time to go the way of the V6

N/A to begin with Nik, maybe a supercharger later on when I feel like I need some more oooommmpf.

I've caught the bug after seeing fizzy's and helping chris99 out.

And the girl in my avatar, entirely fictional. But If anyone out there fits the description I am open to applications.

good choice,
i had the same reasons for changing, my cambelt is due and also the clutch slips occasionally.
I've finally booked some time off work to continue with my swap.

hmmm makes sense, cambelt needs doing and the clutch, just as easy to bin the lot and fit in a V6! As bad as me and my celica with a knackered knock sensor

Those knock sensors ehh sam, pig of a job

much easier to replace with a freshly built forged engine and new turbo I always find

Mwahahahahahaha! Another converted to the ways of the V6 thanks to the charms of my beastie..... rotflmao

Glad you got the car back though - sounded like it was going to be in storage for years until the insurance company finally got sorted!

Looking forward to seeing how your v6 conversion goes.

It had 12 months MOT too rotflmao

Today I became a man ! :pumped:

I've reached a major mile stone in my V6 conversion. I took the day off work so that I could remove the V6 from the Camry. I started at 9 am and was finished by 7:30 pm with the engine on the back of the pickup . All without Hobnobs and no Irn-Bru!

Nice, is that a blue flame exhaust?

petec
10-05-2007, 11:25
no its a N\A Mongoose, alot bigger than it looks in the photo's i've seen around the web. I have no doubts it will flow well enough for the N\A V6.

I didn't like the way the blue flame stuck out at an angle.

really? nina has a mongoose on hers so we'll be doing the same thing. I'll be interested to see how you mount the exhaust up.
