I think it looks weird, but not really in a bad way. I love the Zonda and many crazy looking cars and i think more would like this if you didn`t know it was a 2 in there, somewhere.

Would def turn heads in our Huyndai accent world of Norway:)

(i like it) :hidesbehi

EDIT. I must add though that i would never buy it, or even encourage anyone to do it, but the look of it, is not that bad. I don`t like the mk3 at all for that matter.
And they should paint the roof red too.

How many cars can you possibly rip off to make that 'thing'. Dont like it much at all.

I would love to mix a Gallardo and is250 in a blender to make a 'mk4' mr2. (not take parts of different cars but genuinely mix them together.)

the mk3 was dissapointing looking, and ive often dreamed up body modifications to improve it, but that takes it in the wrong direction completely. it says to me, aborted attempt at some sort of ferrari, aborted in favour of a bloody riced-up lancer or (whats something that gets riced up over there? saxo?) with GOD DAMN ALTEZZA LIGHTS WTF OMG

I dont mind the clear lights. They should be on the real MR2 - lexus did invent the idea.

What I meant before about Gallardo and is250 can be elaborated on as being a mix of Gallardo's extreme gen 7 Celica angles plus L-finesse design. after all the mr2 is supposed to be a level beyond the Celica and so it should carry the celica angle but more angry like a gallardo but should have ellements of L-Finesse to keep it up to date.

The idea would end up looking something like a L-FA. But I had this idea before the L-FA was even on the map. :(

theres alot of flaws with the LF-A design too, mostly the proportions of the style features, ie. headlights and the general shapes are awkward etc.

and i really REALLY hate clear lights, even on an altezza / is200. chrome in your tail lights does not make you cool. ive yet to see a set of altezza lights that in any way contributed to the cars 'attitude', they usually make it look tacky, misshapen or just plain horrible. this includes the altezza, it makes an agressive, classy and stylish sedan look downright ridiculous when viewed from behind. the emotion from that angle is 'clownish', from the front 'tough'. it doesnt fit.

however, i entirely agree with the main point you made about the gallardo and the being a level above. they just need to proportion it right, and not ignore classic style elements such as low wide front and back cross areas, pop up lights (how i miss you!) and tapered tail end. this fruity-ass massive pointy headlights and flat sides with chopped off ass type thing theyve been doing alot recently needs to stop somewhere. examples, gen7 celica, where it kinda worked, mk3, where it failed horribly. just because everyone (mazda, nissan, honda) does it doesnt make it good!

I wonder how cars would look if the EU didn't dictate over the designers :(

For some reason they think that Pop-Ups were dangerous if you were to hit a pedestrian....I feel that pedestrians were more dangerous to the pop-ups! BAN PEDESTRIANS!!!

Chopped of ass is okay they do it pretty extreme on Ferrari's. Longitudinal mount plus no boot means they can cut it of very early - so they do. Are you going to argue with weight savings. :)

I have found the after market lights are not so great they emphasis there chromyness ( :) ) too much. but stock seams okay.

I'm not the greatest fan of the fact the LF-A has no grill element there inbetween the lights. either make a grill or blend it in with the rest of the bonnet is my thoughts. but the lack of an element there also makes it interesting. Which is similar to the mk2 in its design no grill above the crash bar and we still think they are beautiful 17 years after creation. So I guess I'm not certain how it will be perceived over time.

i know what you mean about the chopped ass, but its used too much. wheres the variety?!? tho i agree about weight saving.

yeh, god is in the details, and the LF-A isnt quite right on that score. closer than some have come recently tho.
