Hi all,

My daily driver the camry V6 is finally giving up the ghost, autobox has been getting progressivly worse over the last few months and now when in drive and at rest it stalls. So I think its time it was broken up.

What I'm looking for is advice on breaking the camry up. What bits do I need and what bits can be sold?

Also how does the LPG system affect the removal of the V6, I'd prefer to keep the LPG system in one piece as I might use it in the mk1, until I save up enough funds to turbo the car.

Thanks Luke

Check out JB's build, and also mine in the MK2 section, i think everything is covered there.

You need
Engine, alternator, starter, V6 downpipes, COR, Loom, ECU, keep driveshafts(I'm not sure what you need for Mk2) maybe coolant bottle and its mounting clips, vacuum tank.
As Garbe says check out other folks build threads but some of us used Mk1s remember.
You will be able to sell loads of bits. If you give me your email address I'll send you a spreadsheet of what I got for the parts I sold from my two Camrys!!
