engine oil.. what to use

i need some engine oil, im seeing info for 10w 40 fully synthetic what have you used, what grade, any good? price?

For the 3sgte, 10w 40 is great, Mobil1 is the type I use, although Halfords are doing a deal on Magnatec(get 1 litre free).

I`ve heard good things about magnatec over here. it`s a bit expensive though. atleast here...

Adam I use magnatec in the charger all the time and is some top stuff for sure ! Yup was in halfords today and they had the deal with the 1 litre free but I went for halfords own brand as it had free injector cleaner with it and 5 litres was cheaper than magnatec as well ! Have always used castrol oils in my bike engines and they get some uber abuse (11.5k redline and sits on or above it most often!) so would highly recomend castrol but wouldnt knock mobil one as some top oil !

i use halfords own 5/40 fully synthetic my 1.5 is just about to turn 20.000 miles and no problems:thumbsup:

10w 40 fully synthetic any brand. I've used magnatec i'm not really impressed but then it just pissed out of the bottom of my car so I can't really say much lol

Any 10w40 semi or fully synthetic does the job. As long as it's decent.
