Greetings from across the pond...here is my 1985 Mk1 ( my fourth! ) that I scored 18 months ago for a whopping $900 USD. No problems, one owner, original window sticker, 77,000 miles. Stumbled across your site and gathering parts for a v6 conversion. Main problem seems to be that parts readily available, but quite a bit more pricey than you gents usually pay. Some of the guys here go over to their naighbor (breaker) and just ask to get a V6 for no more than 350, and gets it. Atleast some of you, lucky guys with so many ladies crashing that you have donars;)
