Bit stuck on where this pipe goes:shrug: , is the only bit left over from my engine bits, puzzled me all day and prevented me putting my engine in the car...please help.....:pray: :pray:

At taking the piss, yes, at answering the question, no. I've got no idea whatsoever where the hell that bit goes!

If you don't get a sensible answer soon I'll grab a torch and go and have a poke! Rev 1, yup?

Owen not sure you'll get an answer by going somewhere with a torch for a poke, might be better actually using the torch to look at the engine instead.

How can a torch look at an engine? For that matter how is the torch gonna get to the car and open the engine cover?

Anyway iu have noidea where that pipe comes from it might just be one of them "spares" you always get left with.

Now back to trying to find anyone who's about to go for a pint.

Sorry Ki, I've just had a look at 3 different engines and I can't find one of those pipes on any of them. Are you sure it's from that engine? Then again it's dark and rainy so I'll have another look in daylight unless a guru can step up and tell us what we're missing.

Now, I don't know the Mk1 MR2 engine bay too well at all, or what stage you are at Ki and how you got there etc, but on a Mk2 MR2 there is a pipe simmilar to this one, which does not go on the engine...it bolts to the front firewall, over to the left and down. You may not even need it any more, mine doesn't need it now I have the V6 installed, so has been binned.

Might you have removed it ? say for painting the engine bay ?

Had another look this morning before giving up...maybe it goes no where after all....on another subject, i am in need of the pipe that goes from the turbo to the AFM, does anyone have one????

ive never seen this pipe on any 3s-gte,mk2 or v6.....no clue at all what thats off....looks like it fell out of the toyota parts bin though.
