Nah mate I'm Skint Eastwood @ the mo.Do you fancy havin a go?? It would be interesting to se what a turboed v6 will produce. I have part of a write up on a twin charged 1mz but I can't find the full write up. If memory serves it was something just shy of 500 bhp.

I'm thinking of going V6 single turbo route, going to use the ct20 and stick it over the gearbox -it's going to be a lot of exhaust making and lots of heat wrap ! Seen vids of 3.4 lt v6 running a ct26 with supra housing and that turbo was way too small boosting from just over idle so the ct20 should be a good match. Already have WI so 6-7 psi should be fine . Anybody know if the 1mz multi-layer head gasket fits on the 3vz fe as i drilled out a rev3 headgasket to go on my rev 2 and it put up with 18 psi no problem unlike the pistons :shifty:

wombat the 1mz and 3vz gaskets are different,i checked :) but the 3vz runs a lower CR than the 1mz anyway and has stronger rods so you can run more boost.Weak point being the pistons and head gaskets.

Sounds great, I'll bet its a real beastie too, I wonder what it would be like on uprated internals at 26 PSI ?

Has a reason be found for the headgaskets going on the 3vz fe? They seem to be a boarderline and having the extra heat of a turbo might turn them into a service item

i just think the factory ones are cack after 100k....nobody seems to have a problem after they are replaced.
