right just had a look on the epc and the na part number is 47730-20410 for the RH 91 caliper....91 gt4 RH caliper is 47750-20410 so only one digit of the first number is different, this is probably just to denote it as a gt4 part so chances are they are the same calipers.

Thats the ST182 right? From what I can gather they had different front brakes depending on year, they changed from twin pot to single pot with a larger dia disc...sounding familiar. Would suggest theres every likely hood it will either have the same calipers as ST165(twin pot) or ST185(single pot), however until someone actually tries it:poke2: can't say for certain.

the st 165 and 185 bolt straight on and fit the original mk1b discs right?
so i should expect the same.

oh yeah thats a certainty, all celica brakes bolt on to mk1 hubs and work with the mk1b discs.

got the calipers off, they match up perfect and as you can see the piston is quite a lot bigger so do you think these are worthy of the front brake upgrade?

The thing is the one infront of my house is parked in the road with no tax and hasn't moved for months, I've phoned the council twice about removing it, but they haven't done anything.. I'm tempted to just to blow it up, its a bloody eyesore!

Goldy if the petrol cap were to be missing it's much easier to get a car removed as I think you can get the police to intervene with it being a safety hazard.

I remember reading in a "book of letters that get results" that you can write to the DVLA and claim ownership of abandoned cars. You give them the reg. they write to the last registered keeper and if they don't write back within a set period then ownership is transfered to you. I was thinking of taking a trip to the VIP long stay carpark at Heathrow and seeing if I could bag a Ferrari, Porker, and an Aston all for the price of a stamp.

Oh and no this isn't a wind up before you ask. (Well the first half anyway.)

Cheers,

Owen.

how about finding a car you like, running the owner over then writing to the dvla. in the bag!

Owen unfortunatly this is true as its a way thieving shit wank fuck arse bastards steal motorbikes and get away with it and all becomes legit as they do it when owners on holiday as you have only 14 days to reply !

assuming the specs are similar to Japanese models, pre-facelift(89-91) 3SGE models should have same size rotors as st165 but single pot and facelift models (later 91-93) should have same brakes as widebody st185.

I'd suggest measuring the size of the disk to see whether they're worth upgrading to or not

What Malcolm said ^ :)

Sizes should be ~255x25mm and ~278x28mm respectively. This compares to the 256x22mm of the later mk1b disc.
