Think it might have been on the imported ones only but i'm not too sure. You can get the badges from mrT and they are deffo from a mk3!!

tbh every mk3 i've seen has had that chicken badge on the front and on the wheels, i've never seen a mk3 with the cowboy hat on

yeah, i'm with welly. every spyder i've ever seen had this on the hood and the rims.

mk3 rims do fit on the mk1 hubs, and i have seen several people swap out the red screaming chicken for whatever this blue thing is, and put on the mk3 rims with the matching center caps.

The eagle badge was only released on the imported models however there have been tons of those badges sold over ebay so it is likely that you will see many mk3's with them on.

You can even take the backing out and have different colours/carbon behind the eagle.

Thats probly because they can get them easily and it looks better than that crappy badge they put on everything else. I'm sure I've actually got the partnumber on my pc at home somewhere.

funny to find all the mk3's you've seen to have them tho, theres usually a mix in the dealers I've looked in.

Anyway - didn't Toyota change the term "mid-ship runabout" to "Mid-mounted, Rear Wheel Drive"??

Sure I've read that somewhere along the line a few times...

edited to say mid-mounted... meant to change both- doh

I always thought MR2 meant Mid engined, Rear wheel drive, 2 seats.... as opposed to Midship Runnabout 2 seater.... ah well if toyota say so then it must be right :hmm:

TBH I don't think an answer will ever be decided on, there are so many conflicting stories on what it means the only way to find out what it was meant to be would be to ask the original namer/s. Even some people that I know that used to work for Toyota argue about it.

I definitely remember when the Mk1 was launched it was Mid-engined Runabout 2 seater.
I was about 13 at the time and right into cars - I liked the Mk1 so the name stuck. Only took me 20 years to save up for my first!

Although the mk2v6 was when the chicken was unwell for 2 weeks and had to eat a lot and let itself go, then felt better and wham, back into it's Lucifurous self.
