Hi!

I'm upgrading my brake system on my LHD mk1a AW11 and I'm looking for a bolt on master cylinder that will cope with a ST185 Celica front caliper and SW20 turbo rear caliper upgrade.

I've heard people using PN 47201-17220 and it is bolt on, but I'm only getting PN 47201-17070 on my searches. Do you know if these PN's are interchangeable on SW20s?

Thank you very much!

In my experience there isn't really a master cylinder 'upgrade'.
You can increase the bore, which means it moves more fluid with the same amount of pedal travel, which gives a firmer pedal.
That might make it harder to modulate since you now have a lot more pad surface area?

The master most people use is a 1" bore from a non-abs supra or hilux/4 runner. I think its 93 and earlier?

From what I have found standard MC is 3/4", MK2 MR2 is 15/16" the Supra/Hi-Lux one is 1"

I've got the mk2 BMC sitting in my garage waiting for time to put it on.
