Well a lot of you know me.. some prob don't remember me..

I live down in kent, had mr2's now since 2000, on and off.. lost count how many i have had, also owned pretty much every type you can get, mk1 turbo(i built), supercharger, mk2 na, mk2 turbo, mk3..
raced a mk2 turbo for sometime.. moved onto my MK indy..

but now back with a Gen 6 Na celica for daily use and sprinting in the Toyota Sprint series
And recently purchased Andy Ayres, Ex-Richard Bretts Mr2 Mk1 with a 3vz in it

Andy had a water leak issue, which believed was fixed.. unfortunately overheated on the way home, but not unexpected, and bought the car knowing this.
so got the car home.

i have made up a paul woods tester for head gasket.
also taken off the red front bumper, and hooked on but not fitted the white bumper.. i am not a fan but will have to do untill i can find a stock one..

so some pictures for you lovely peoples

Lovely! For the love of all things MK1, please ensure its drowned in cavity wax!

yeah i will .. been there before with many rusty mk1's so this lives in the garage and will get fully attacked with waxoil.. also the wide rear arches for some reason have expanding foam on the inside of the ache (looking in from the boot) so i am going for getting this out... at a guess

Have a chat with Richard, pretty sure it's been waxoiled recently. He took really good care of the car.

Also found this....

went in for MOt today..
PASSED.. woohoo.
be lots of driving it this weekend i feel
It gathers speed with out fuss but an alarming rate.. sounds great.. not a big fan of the exhaust so would like to change that at some point

I need to change the horrible "flower" type front discs.. they just feel aweful, also its idling around 1100rpm is this right? or is there an idle adjustment

I will get a pic of the brakes on it at the mo hoping someone can tell me what discs to purchase..

Nice result! When warm is should idle around 850rpm, and bumble nicely. It its been fiddled with it might have an air pipe off somewhere. It shouldn't need manually adjusting if it's running correctly.

Check your plumbing against this, see if anything is awry.....(some of it may be missing anyway)
