Hi All,

Have finally got the wiring done on the car (thanks to Paul's Guide).

The car turns over lovely with good compression and a good spark.

Not sure if the fuel pump is running, so we tried it externally, but the fuel just goes straight down the return and not through the engine.

Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions please??

To confirm if it's fuel related get some carb cleaner and spray it down the air intake while trying to start it. What revision 3sgte is it?

Hi Bex,

FPR plumbed correctly?
Fuel getting to the rail?
Plug(s) wet?

Check that power is reaching the injectors, pretty sure Pauline did a write up on the diode you need to monitor the pulse.

Thanks Chris but still no joy.

Am seriously considering throwing in the towel, all I do is throw money at it and for it to not work. We have been working solidly on it for weeks now.

Nobody like a quitter.

What was the results from the injector pulse test? The questions above? To be honest, if the plugs are dry, that yer smoking gun right there.....

No I dont want to be a quitter, but its costing me a fortune on silly bits that we should have had.

Yeah its all wired as per Pauls guide. Have replaced the relay as well and still no joy.

Continued looking at the wiring, tried turning it over and things were working as they should, pump kicked in and injectors were working. Engine management light started flickering on and off and with that we lost the fueling and the spark. I assume that when you lose the light you lose the ecu feed?? Turned off and back on and no light. Kept trying but only occasionally got the light on but when it was on the pump worked. Thought it may be an ecu problem checked all feeds and connections and earths. Everything checks out.

Any ideas??
