shock absorbers

has there been some sort of new rule passed that wont let scrappers sell second hand shocks? went yesterday to the yard and every single shock absorber had been punctured so that they are unuseable! anyone any ideas?:omg:

What shocks were you looking for. Can't see why they'd do this unless they are getting paid by manufacturers to make sure we all buy brand new, didn't think there was any ruling about shocks

i wasnt looking for shocks - it was caliper carriers that i was looking for!:icon_roll just that all shocks were done the same way!!

Ahh fair enough, what caliper carriers were you looking for then, I'll keep an eye out then.

i have some st 185 single pot calipers but the carriers are only for a 258 mm disc but i have 280 mm discs. its either that or go for the st205 that we are all interested in!

might be to do with recycling the scrap, they've gotta make sure all fluid and gas is out of the parts before they can be crushed or recycled
