Masking tape?

just wondering what you paint guys recommend as a low tack but neat edged masking tape for automotive paint purposes.

This to mask your line then normal tape to mask to the line

I use 3mm 3M tape for fine work and 3/4" normal masking tape on that, i find you have better control of the edge with 3mm.

i need to get some really straight lines so bit worried the thinner i go the more it will deviate.

Ah i see, for straight lines 12mm would be better.
