ohh.. may have found to get me out of trouble.
the bracket and bush from the mk2 fits well.
i know the bar is bigger on the mk2 but when the bracket and bush are put on the mk1 there is no movement and its tight..
fits the same holes

so is this enough and okay to get me out of trouble?
only thing it sit about 4 mm futher away from the body..
is it worth doing both side from the mk2?

EDIT..
Scratch that.
after changing the other side and measuring etc they are exactly the same. the bushes are the same and the brackets are the same..]
result.

nice find, mine snapped last month due to rusting away, i had to make a new one from scratch.

I thought the mk1 and mk2 had interchangeable roll bars, and that was a cheap ugrade on the mk1? Or have i heard that wrong?

(This is after actually doing the conversion im talking about on my mk1. I just cant remember if it was front or rear!)

A mk2 rear ARB can be fettled to fit, it's a good cheap upgrade.

Especially if you fit Adamh no bullshit mounts a rear turbo arb is about 20 to 26mm white line do a bigger 28mm adjustable arb, compared to the chicken wire mk1a any things better as its about 5mm thick if that.
