Hey guys,

I was looking for an affordable nearby solution for my 1mzfe air intake.

You got the more expensive nice quality Injens:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Injen-IS-Short-Ram-Air-Intake-System-Toyota-Camry-V6-97-01-/390394786826?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5ae557b40a#ht_2551wt_1270

in the US you have a less quality looking one (the chrome will go ugly):

http://www.ebay.com/itm/FIT-1997-2001-TOYOTA-CAMRY-3-0-3-0L-V6-AIR-INTAKE-KIT-INDUCTION-SYSTEMS-BLUE-/180830064830?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3ACamry&hash=item2a1a4fd0be&vxp=mtr#ht_3222wt_1270

and I was wondering if this might fit?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/98-00-LEXUS-GS300-400-AIR-INDUCTION-INTAKE-/200248687072?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2e9fc079e0#ht_1322wt_1037

SO I was wondering how this was done with other 1mzfe's with out using the original airbox.

Any thoughts?

Cheers.

I would imagine the box section is where your afm goes..

Im not anywhere near my car, so the best picture I got:

top right corner: the 97-2001 (Probably Gen5 as well) air box with Sensor

Here's a picture from the early stages of wiring this build, it's not the best but it might help you.
I'le try to remember to take a decent pic tonight:

It's a 90mm - 75mm 45 degree reducer, with a AFM adaptor infront of it. Layout has canged a bit since then, a spacer is added in front of the adaptor and everything is mounted with stainless t-bolt clamps.
