Right, next build I need to fit a sandwich plate to the base of the oil filter for additional sensors.

Is it possible to delete the existing one and bypass the coolant pipe?

Currently it looks like this :-

Yes, you need everything from a Toyota Windom setup and it can be done, remove the whole water cooler assembly and screw in the threaded tube from the Windom, done it a few times now.

However, a sandwich plate will fit between the filter and housing as it is, all you need to do is make a hole in your bulkhead heatshield so the filter can be removed.

Ah, didn't think of cutting the plate, nice one.

The original swap that we did on JapScrap was with an import ES300 engine, that didn't have the sandwich plate either. Guessing it's the same as a Windom then.

From what I could see it looked like the difference was the water pipe from under the inlet manifold and obviously the route back into the block. Wasn't sure if it was as simple as capping them.

Thanks Paul.
