Hi guys,

does anyone know who has the most powerful N/A 3S-GE? and spec list?

mine got a 184.1 Bhp & 142 Torque.....

OEM 4-1 manifold,
2.5" custom mandrel bent system (decat),
open air filter

i want to get closer to 200, so want to know what i need to do to get closer to that figure.

Many Thanks

Ishaq

I think you will be struggling if you try and beat that figure, it's a pretty good figure for a 3s, lumpy cams may give you more and a better intake filter and probably a standalone ecu but we are talking a lot of money for so little an increase.

You could alway vortech supercharge it ?

honestly want to keep it n/a really, but want to as close to 200 as possible..
i was thinking of getting it mapped, but dont know what management system to use? any suggestions?

Seeing as u have the car at 184 HP. Next step would be to get a better manifold, that could gain another 15 or so HP and you've hit your desired 200..
Also its worth dressing ignition components, new plugs , leads, dizzy, rotor arm all will help in improving spark and gain a tiny bit of power..

Good point Az!

I've got a spare N/A manifold if you wanted to chop one up!?

iv got an oem 4-1 manifold on there at the min, iv also got a 4-2-1 (but missing the 2-1 bit )

does anyone know the power difference between them both?

People have tried it and spent silly amounts of money and didn't make 200 bhp.

It's already a GE engine, there's not that much more to get out of it and the difference from 184 to 200 peak bhp really isn't going to be very noticeable.

I'd spend the money on other bits of the car if you're determined to stick with the 3S.

4-1 manifolds have a better top end but lack a bit at bottom end revs,
4-2-1 manifolds have a better mid range..
most Type R owners preffer the 4-2-1 manifolds..
power wise not sure what differnce they will make, i suppose you would have to dyno the same car with each on it to see what kind of difference it makes..

hmmmmm

Dare is say: Beams?

Beams were 200bhp as stock.. I'm certain they were a 3sge with a slightly aggressive cam profile, forged piston and agressive mapping

the fensport gen 6 got 199 bhp, and the engine mods are these

Lightly ported cylinder head,
skimmed to increase compression ratio and using a GT4 metal headgasket with ARP head stud conversion.
The throttle body was also ported
a Blitz SUS air induction kit along with a custom cold air feed was added.
A HKS exhaust manifold and system is used with a Mongoose de-cat pipe,
the modified engine still retains the standard ecu and produces 199bhp
