3vzfe valve lash?

I have the heads back on my 3vzfe and was checking through the valve lash, i measured all of my shims and clearances, i have two exhaust valves that have that are .05 mm too tight.i put in 2.70 mm shims (which is the smallest that i have) and thats still just a hair tight. I don't have a toyota dealer close, and the one that is 150 miles away says i have to order shims in sets of 10.

WHAT THE HECK AM I GONNA DO WITH 10 SHIMS OF THE SAME STINKING SIZE !!!

any how i found an thread on yodatech that says that i it is possible to lightly grind the valve stems in order to increase the valve clearances. Has anyone out there done this or heard of any one doing it ?

I had my valves done by a proffesional cylinder head conditioner and they ground the tops of the valves to get the clearances, even have a special machine to do it
Apparently thats how to do it as after a valve seat regrind its near impossible to get the correct shims without a lot of work
