I'm looking for ideas for engine dressing, nothing nuts, just a classy look. Everyone has their own taste, after all. My engine is on the bench now, am looking forward to sexing it up a bit

It'd be neat to see a gallery of the finish some of you folks have achieved, and how to do it without costing an arm an a leg (where to source bits and bobs)

All pics and experiences welcome!

Don't think you can go wrong with black and silver. Looks OEM but super clean

Can't claim credit for mine, Paul did it but I think the prep is more important than the materials you use.

We've done them in every scheme you could care to think of, the prep is very important, we high build primer manifolds to get a very smooth look and the attention is in all of the little bits you don't see. Here is a current V6 we are doing, it has that classy look you are after....

That's a Mk3 1mz we did with a Cobra exhaust system, the engine scheme was just black and red themed.

That 2GR looks really great, those headers look so right. In the Mk2 you won't get to see much of the detailing, I'm tempted to cut a large hole in the bulkhead to rear boot space and put a window in there (maybe with some cross bracing), seems a shame to hide such a nice piece of work

It is a bit of a shame but it it does put a smile on your face once it's in.

theres even less space in a mk1 so pauls shiny covers look great and you cant even see goukys work of art manifolds tis a shame but like mrv6 says you just cant beat the smile once its in.
