VSS speed signal

Anyone got any info on the VSS speed signal, how many pulses per mile?

Does 4000 pulses per mile sound right?

i happened to notice on my mk1 clocks (its written on the back) the odometer registers 1 mile for 1024 revs (cable driven speedo!), i thought.. now that sounds just like an encoder resolution!, but its not! of course its a cable driven mech. perhaps it may help , perhaps not.

cheers Ad, I could do with someone to confirm the MR2 electronic speedo specs, I have had a good root on the web and i've found that the mr2 speedo is 4 pulses per revolution and some other info from an american site seems to suggest that a 4 pulse speedo is equivalent to 4000 pulses per mile, I really could do with someone to confirm this if poss.
