We don't always feature all of the projects we complete on TB but this one is a little special, it's a Mk3 roadster that is going to get the 430 kit treatment. Every single nut and bolt has been replaced on the running gear, all brakes and suspension parts are brand new, bushes all done and pretty much like a new car underneath.

So we carried this theme on and spent double the time on the detailing work in the engine bay which of course has been resprayed to match the new cars exterior colour once the kit has been done.

She's a thing of beauty...

Still a few jobs to do but 95% there. We have also completely redesigned the shifter assembly using a custom setup on the gearbox rather than at the stick end which now remains all original Mk3.

I'll keep the thread updated with how it turns out.

My mate Pete will be very interested in this thread then as he wants to do exactly the same thing, but with a bit more powerful engine.

Stunning looking though .

That does look superb! Interested to read about the gear shift linkage, I think that will make for a nice gearchange.

Cheers chaps, yep Nige we have gone about the shifting a completely different way now, it requires a lot more work but a much better end result i think.

What are the finished dimensions compared to a 430, is it close?

Will be watching this one.

I'm not that clued up on them i'm afraid Hasad, they certainly look a convincing replica though.

Is there an engine mount jig available for loan to do this Paul? High on my consideration list for next year mate.
