Hi all,
3VZ-FE going into a 94 N/A. About ready to test fire. Had a question though that I couldn't find through searching the forum. MY car has power steering and as you all know it uses its own electric motor with pump instead of vacuum like the Camry. When I turned my ignition to ON yesterday to test, I heard a whirring sound come from under the front trunk and it wasn't the radiator fan, I think it was the power steering. I noticed that on the 5S ECU there are at least two pins that deal with power steering (PS and PSCT or something linke that), but there isn't anything comparable on the 3VZ ECU.
What do you need to do with the wiring to get the power steering to function correctly? Or is it with the swap you can only have it running all the time (like now) or shut it off completely?
Thanks all.

When you turn ignition on, let it run for about 30 seconds. Does it go off?
Mine also does this and I have no idea what its doing. I thought the power steering had it's own ECU somewhere?

My steering is fine btw, from 0 to 5th limiter. Shhh

Someone will pop along and supply some far more useful info soon enough, be patient.
