Hello everyone!
Finally I´m finished my garage, and I have started the swap.
I have bought parts under the autumn/winter to the project. And it feels really good finally start it up!
The car is a mr2 mk2 from 1991 who I have owned for about 5 years now. And I think it´s really too slow.
The V6 is a 3vzfe from a 1996 camry, wich i have used in traffic in 5 mounths, and i love the torque from the v6.
I am not going to open the engine up until I get it started. Next winter I will put some paint on it, change all the seals and maybe put some stronger internals to it.

Last weekend i dropped the camry 3vzfe engine:

This must be the best beer for this type of job:

Yesterday I dropped the 3s-ge:

Hmmmm...?

Today I have mounted the 4v6 mount and started changing the gearbox:

4v6 mount:

And now the questions:

1. What is this?
http://www.twobrutal.co.uk/forum/images/recovered/2010/03/45.jpg
2. I don´t have steering servo on my mr2, would i remove the servo pump?

http://www.twobrutal.co.uk/forum/images/recovered/2010/03/46.jpg

3. Can I remove the air condition compressor and get a shorter belt?

http://www.twobrutal.co.uk/forum/images/recovered/2010/03/47.jpg

4. I am going to use a manual camry flywheel, a celica GT4 pressure plate and the clutch disc from the mr2.

http://www.twobrutal.co.uk/forum/images/recovered/2010/03/48.jpg

Do I have to use any of theese discs between the engine and flywheel and between the flywheel and the pressure plate?

5. What to do with all the electric that goes to the automatic tranmission. Chop it?

Cheers!

Is there any problem with keeping the EGR?

No problem with keeping the EGR.
You can remove the air con pump and use a shorter belt. that bolt you pointed out, is just the engine drain plug for the coolant.

OK, Garbe. I will keep the EGR until next winter i think.
Coolant drain. Aha... I never thought about that:-)
Thanks for your reply!

Yes lose the P/S pump too. It's doing absolutely nothing.

It´s ALIVE!:beer::jump::jump::jump:
Swedens first mr2 mk2 V6 (3vzfe) until anybody can disprove me.

Yesterday when i was finished all the wiring i could fire it up at 00:20 at night!
I never been so happy! So i celebrated it with a big Gin&tonic:booz:
But today when i went to the garage, i found that the car only ran in about 10 seconds, then it just died. But after some searching i found that it was the AFM that wasn´t connected to earth. After fixing that! It is running properly!
Pretty loud actually. without any type of silencer.

Thanks! I will use my n/a gearbox. With a celica gt4 pressure plate and my old clutch disc.

Does anybody know how to connect the cooling fan to the harness using the cooling fan box?

And the big yellow and blue fuses on the v6 harness, do i need them, and where would i put them?

If you're referring to the cooling fan ECU, it's no use, in fact it causes all sorts of problems so bin it and have the fan run when the engine is running, give it an earth and a 12V IGN and that's you sorted.
