Think I have sorted a ST185 single pot brake upgrade and decided to do a quick search on here for info on them and found some threads saying they don't fit under some 15's.

Has anyone tried them under 15" mk3 roadster wheels and do they fit?

I have ST 185 brakes under my mk3 wheels - however, have a look at the off-set - I needed to space them off the struts by 10mm and that was with coil-overs on

Was that to clear the brakes or suspension?

My wheels do appear to sit quite far in but thought nothing of it till now.

Am I right in thinking there are possibly four versions of the Mk3 alloy? I know for a fact there are three!

Setup 1:
Front 15"
Rear wide 15"

Setup 2:
Front 15" (same as one of the setup 1 wheels, or a 4th type?)
Rear 16"

I don't know the specs offhand but I hope that helps a bit - you might find there are Mk3 15's that fit better than the ones you've got is my point.

Or do what I did - spend a silly amount of energy/time/cash and get hold of a whole "set" of five 16" Mk3 rears! :D

cleared brakes fine - it just rubbed ever so slightly on the spring. But bear in mind mine is on coilovers so the psring sits a bit lower. If they fit with std brakes on they will be fine as fitting the larger disc doesn't chagne any spacing or offset.

As far as I know ther at least 2 types of 15" wheel off the Mk3 - 6J and 6.5J - but I don't know if off-sets are the same.
