Hi Guys,

I've noticed that all of the mk1.5 conversions i've seen so far have had tubular exhaust manifolds fitted.

Is this necersarry to get the bugger to fit or just because they rock?

Cheers,
Andy

Beleive it or not most have the original manifolds, most of us (funds permitting) like to fit a cat replacement downpipe as this free's up some more horses.
You can change the manifold but tbh unless youare after stupid amounts of power thne the stock one will do.
It does fit so we don't HAVE to change them.

Oh rite, that's ok then. I just kept seeing loads of pics of bays with the tubular style so didn't know whether it was necerssary or not.
True about the horsepower thing, the stock item is actually pretty free flowing as far as manifolds go.

As for the downpipe, was def. planning to replace the cat, in fact may have a swap lined up for an xs power pipe for my current cat!
