Battery relocation to boot

Hi all,

Been racking my brains about this and just wondering if there is a specific reason peope don't move the battery to the boot on a mk1.5 conversion and always move it to the front?

Is it something to do with weight distribution as I'd rather move it to the boot really?

More weight over the front is never too bad a thing. You're adding a little extra weight to the rear with a bigger engine so moving a fairly decent amount of weight to the front can counter that.

Paul did a splendid job of keeping mine where it's meant to be, next size smaller, then just moved it down and forward a bit. Infact in the end less messing around, Perfect.
I forgot to say it's on my v6.
