Just wondering what vehical settings do I need to set the AVCR to?

Im guessing -

Cylinder - 4
Speed - 4

But what should Throttle be? Arrow aiming up like / or aiming down like \ ?

Also How do you set it to MPH instead of KPH?

And last question for now when I checked the peak values on the SAFC and AVCR the throttle on the SAFC was 55% where as the throttle on the AVCR was 80%. Could this have just been some sort of spike in the signal?

Thanks

Ok throttle % seems to be sorted now, I just fully pressed the pedal and now they are both in sync with each other.

Oh is it ok to use these instead of soldering? -

I noticed new the AVCR comes with these style splice connectors and I checked the connectors with a circuit tester and they were all making contact.

They may be supplied with them but those in the trade that don't like come backs tend to solder, it's the only real way of joining two wires properly.
You get a job with scotch locks you start by replacing them by soldering all connections THEN looking to see if there is a problem after that.
I'd steer well clear of anything like that mate.

well its working with the scotch locks, if it goes off or anything then I will solder them. At least I know what wires go where now :)

Arrow should be pointing up. You cant change the KPH to MPH sadly.

well I had time today to remove the scotch locks and solder the wires directly.

Now Im just fiddling with the settings so I get hard launch but keep it under 1 - 1.1 bar :)

Play with the duty cycle from the lowest RPM point to around 3000rpm, that should help.

If the duty cycle is too high it will overboost, if too low it will not reach bost fast enough. The cycle is the amount or speed the soilenoid opens. The solenoid is just an open and close valve, so the AVCR opens it and then closes it in short pulse bursts. Depending on how fast the car makes bost and how fast and at what pressure the westgate opens determines the duty cycle.

Exhaust, filter and age of the boost actuator all make a diff on the setting. A bost control shoulld just overshoot a little then hold the boost you want, then its going to bring full boost on as soon as it can and reduce lag.

Also, set your target boost lower for the rpms where it's over boosting.

can the freezing cold weather also cause probelms when setting the controller up? I just seem to over boost all the time when in 3rd gear+ :( (Im not too far off my range that I want, overboosts to 1.15 but I was wanting to keep this below 1.1) Oh and I only over boost at high revs (eg 5,500 rpm - 6,000 +)

I have Filter, Decat, Exhaust (3") and ST205 Charge Cooler

Pass boost creep if it happens at high revs. This happens lots on the standard turbos when they are alowed to breath.

Any cure for this or is the only way to fit a Restrictor ring to give it some back pressure?

Do do it right ! take turbo off and port it, so you might as well change it for something bigger !!!!

well If I had the time etc I would do that but unfortunatly I dont :( . If the CT26 blows up then I will upgrade the turbo ;) .

There is not to much u can do as its a mechanical restriction that the turbo carnt dump the boost thro the gate. Its the design of the turbo.
