Just wondering what do people recommend for using as a Heat Shield for the bottom of the charge cooler? Found some Heat sheild aluminium matt on Ebay will this do?

Is that self adhesive backed? It would be easier to install if it was.
I made some shields for my kitcar with self-adhesive stuff and it woked a treat.

Think it came from demon tweeks (will probably be cheaper elsewhere)

theres a mill up in Hyde that does the matt any size you want also do the asbestos tape they advertise on ebay but it is good gear its amazing mill as well if you like looking at silk being spun and the things they do with it

We've got one in work with that matting all over it. It's a nightmare if you ever need to remove it.

Not sure if it would be possible but is fucking expensive. Mate in Oz had his side exit exhaust on his hillclimb lotus 7 kitcar done. .... .... $4000 AUD :mrgreen:

That ones not so would need stuck on with that heat shield tape. There is the sticky stuff for £16 for 50cm x 50cm so might get that (will need to measure the cc first ).

Im guessing one layer of it will be enough or do people put 2 layers on for extra protection :)

Olber, dont think I will need to remove it so should be fine :)

hi i made a alley tray that came up the sides and bolted into the mounting holes for a friends gt4 all you need is a bit of alley sheet tin snip's il try and put some pic up but it made a real big difference

the one on mine is fiberglassed with reflective ally stuck to that
