Looks like a bundle of fun :D
I woulda thought the mr2 a bit arse-heavy for drifting, but I guess bundles of torque and the slip diff help there a fair bit lol.

yeah respect for anyone that can pull it off, and interesting to see a SW20 done in typical JDM cable-tie drifter style :) very cool!

where did you get those wheels. they are fucking hot.

I too am surprised at the choice of car for drifting considering how heavy the back end is. Is it not hard to keep it under control when out due to the short and heavy arse?

oh and on the choice of wheel colour, GO FOR IT! I wanted that colour of wheels for my car (its black) but I couldn't find a wheel powder placing time that did it, so instead went for white. Have since found one but the wheels are done now.

Let us see some pics of the wheels when they are done! :D

hmmmmm

Its definitely possible to get a good drift car out of a sw20, i know theres a movie around here somewhere about a guy doing some awesome drifting with one..

EDIT: found it, check at 2:40!

cheers for the comments!

i've only done a little drifting so far but once the lsd is installed, it should open up the options such as clutch kick or power initiated drift....whereas the open diff would have just spun up the one wheel. I know quite alot of folk who go to the drift day's no doubt ill get some video footage of this mr2 hopefully surprising a few nissan owners :D

check some teaser pics:

sanded back with 40 grit ^^ to bare metal ready for filling. imho filling sucks ass so got bored and sprayed a rough square of the colour against the white alloy

Really like the green there. Will certainly stand out that is for sure. Seems a good finish from the pics too. Well done!

I actually like the green alloys against the white of the body. What is it that's written on the front valence?
