Mk2 turbo cv joint removal HELP

As above I've belted seven kinds of shit to get it of the shaft but it just will not come of what am I doing wrong, it's greghoons mk1 with turbo gearbox and it just refuses to budge.

theres a cir clip on the end take the shaft off car take cv joint apart so balls fall out then remove the clip then it ll all fall apart with a quick tap with a hammer

Then takes ages to get the balls back in and then you give up - good luck

just takes practise sometimes a couple of minutes to do sometimes an hour!

I use a 7.5Lb copper hammer and its called murphy :) , a fixed vice helps transfer the energy also.

well we managed after 2 hours wacking the outer cv with a lump hammer we enlisted help from a good neighbour who lent us wait for it:woc: and he cut the bastard off have video on phone will post later.

then we started putting it all back together yay just got some drop links to do and refill the gearbox and wahoo it lives.

Yeah, snow did a cracking job overcoming many inherent obsticles that makes mk1 ownership so much...erm...fun lol. The thing with working on the mk1 is that when you go in to do one job another pops up..DOH!

It's nearly done thanks to the stellar job snow did and within a week i shall be scareing scubies once again.
