Aye, am only jestin, to make them like the F1 cars.

Sure av seen it done with bike mirrors before, similar style, not sure if it suited. Feel free to give it a go though.

If only I was that brave.... Well, I may give it a go...

Yeah why not. Over a certain speed. *cough cough* miles an hour. There's a terrible wind noise from the stock mirrors (at least on my 1.5) so f1 style, sleek, aerodynamic ones may well do away with that :)

Ex Presidente's car had bike mirrors. BSM should be able to do us a pic :)

I've all ways thought of three cameras relayed back to some small LCD screens fixed infront of the drivers line of sight, so with no wing mirrors sleeker and more areo dynamic .

Is that legal snow? Would be the bollocks though! And switching to a rear camera when engaging reverse.

Could try the M3-style aerodynamic ones, with the hole through the base...?

As requested....with bike mirrors as Nik fitted.
As I ride a bike I thought hey may be rubbish but they are better than you think for day to day driving.

Those mirrors look sweet. Did u modify the bracket urself? What Bonnet is that? Where did u get it from?

Any more pics of the car? The interior looks truely stripped.... Nice.

Nik has to take credit for all the gucci stuff on the car, I think he made up back plates for the mirrors and used the stud that they normally mount through to fix to the plate.
The bonnet againis Niks Papal bonnet, with internal ducting for the rad. Means no frunk space but lots better cooling and no wandering light front at speed..

I was considering the Vitaloni Californian mirrors (https://www.europaspares.com/MIRRORS/EXTERIOR_MIRRORS/VITALONI_CALIFORNIA_MIRROR_2812.html) for my Mk1a. They look much better in the flesh than in this pic ! Looking at putting them on my 911 trackday car too (to replace the lightweight 993 teardrops that don't look at all right on my early '80s car).

Is it just the factory Mk1 wing mirrors that cause all that wind-noise at high speed ? My outside windscreen trim panels seem a little loose and I wondering if that wasn't helping ?

They only start whistling over 115mph my sunroof and side mouldings make more noise at speed.
