does anyone know the differences between a rev 1 to a rev 2 engine loom. in particular the ecu plugs.

looks like i have been stitched up with a rev 1 loom for my rev 2.

From memory the only thing i can think of is the COR holding wire, i think it is at position A14 on a rev1 and B17 on a rev2, thats a green with red trace wire.... but don't take this as gospel as i might be confusing it with the NA Plugs.

the issue with mine is that one of the plugs only has 10 pins yet the ecu has 11 pins.

the other 2 plugs are spot on.

10 and 11 pins? are you sure about that? Turbo Ecu's have 26,16 and 22 pin plugs.

 i meant 10 pairs of pins.

the connectors have 26, 16, and 20 pins.

I have found a list of toyota pin-outs, not looked at them all but not seen a 20 pin connector.

is it possible that its an N/A loom?

the car is up at BSM's and its the last thing thats stopping it working again.

There is no 20 pin connector as far as im aware, certainly not on a turbo harness.

The 26 and 16 pin connector are part of the engine harness while the 22 pin is the body plug that goes to the ECU, that is on every mk2 i have seen including all of the Turbo and NA's ... ratty are you 100% sure it's a 20 pin plug? It doesn't sound like you even have an Mr2 harness there.

Ah it could be one of the rev3 onwards NA plugs, for the transponder gubbins, they might have a 20 pin plug.... but certainly all Turbo engine looms just have the 26 and 16 pin plugs (the 22 is on the body)

Sorry for not piping up earlier, We have 3 plugs to the ECU, the third on the right seems to have not enough pins?? Def rev1 or 2 as has AFM plug on it....

3 plugs coming just from the engine harness si? AND it has an AFM plug? that is odder than johnny's reflection....

Ok we have (as you look at the ecu fitted) first plug on left then second then third, I think I may be making a complete cock of myself here and wrrying Ratty unduly, the third plug comes from the car loom? As i have only had the original spagetti to work with I fear my attention to others cars has left me and I need to use the third plug from the old loom?

The furthest left and middle plugs run straight to the engine harness.... the right hand plug is a body plug and runs to the body, so that should be on the car if it was previously running a turbo ecu.
