well
had a knocking from the steering
now its from the whole suspension and its got worse
so though it was time to have a proper look see if i can see if the rack was on its way out

nope... its much worse
i knew there was a hole which had been fillered behind the wheel now i know how bad it actually is
is there anyway of repairing this or is it time for breaking for spares :( :( :(

basically where ever the suspension meets... there is no metal :(

Shitting heck mate that is fookin bad! Beggars the question, looking at that it's been bad for a while (as in years) how the hell did it pass MOT with rust like that near suspension components.

Pretty sure it could be rebuilt but would probably need a donor car to rob metal bits from..
ALOT of work and by no means cheap

Holey crap bat man that looks completly fooked to my untrained eye but you never say no Some one else might say it's salvagable but not driveable that's a death trap waiting to happen mate.

buy a knackered mk1 and cut the bits off you need.

not good but at the end of the day if that let go when you were doing 70mph kiss your mr2 goodbye and possibly your life! so at least you spotted it before it caused a problem

always a brightside!

yup, anything, no matter what, can be brought back with time and money... if Paul says it can be done, then definetly it can.
