Bollocks! fitted st205 brakes wheels dont clear calipers

i ve got 17" volk racing ce28n wheels and the spokes curve back in slightly fowling the calipers think i d need new wheels or possibly 15mm spacers whats everyone opinion on using spacers ? dont want to ruin handling more

these are my wheels might have to sell them and look for others now

how badly do they foul? theres enough meat on the calipers to tickle some away with a grinder if they are close to fitting, but obviously 15mm (if thats the case) is going to be too much. what offset are the wheels?

et35 or 38 cant remember will look tomorrow but to much to machine caliper, tomorrow going to put washers on the studs to see how bigger spacer i d need think if its more than 15mm i might need new wheels

I had to run 6mm spacers and extended wheel studs on mine. Came from rally design I think.

i m not sure about using spacers which arent hubcentric lots of load through the studs with those spacers hoping i can get away with 15mm ones at most

They are not shown in the pic but i have some rings that were made by adam to centre the wheels properly :thumbsup:

how to the bits adam made work? do they slide over the section of hub in centre of the brake disc? how much were they

Not 100% sure how i did it now without taking the wheel off. I think there was 1 ring to locate the disc and another to fit between the wheel and hub.

Not sue if he still does them but PM adamh, price was very good :thumbsup:
