Hey guys,
First, i should apologize for a serious lack of build thread, bad i know, but it kinda stalled when the build got put on hold for a few months, and most of my time on here has been spent either on research or asking stupid questionslol

Secondly, I have to thank everyone on here who have helped guide me with my build, either by answering my questions (no matter how basic, hey it took me 2 days to get the wiring loom off the camry...dont ask!), writing the build threads that have helped so much or by spending an hour trying to fit a sodding gearbox (Thanks Hasad, the spine aligned so much better after i realized i had over tightened the pressure plate bolts! )

The reason I am saying these things is that at 4:35 on sat afternoon, not only did i shit myself, get a stiffy, and nearly cry (all at the same time!), I learnt a valuable lesson..........A v6 without an exhaust is damn loud............

Plenty more to do yet, exhaust, suspension, seats, tidy the wiring etc, but she fooking works so far and i am a very happy bunny!:jump:
There have been times up to this point i could have happily sold the lot, and bought another car, but once she started, i was so glad i went diy, nowhere near pauls standard, but hey.....i did that! Just hope im not speaking too soon:pray:
And in case you noticed the warning light, the oil level sensor is not plugged in, damn toyota and their habit of using different types of plugs when ever they felt like it!

That was pretty loud. I can only imagine how it sounded in the flesh, lol.

How long before the first test drive?

The fact it actually worked was more of a surprise than the noise! lol. As for a test drive, thats still a week or so away, having some "issues" with the coilovers and im not going to be able to spend anytime on it this weekend. But all good things to those who wait? huh

Still a way to go yet but yeah, I was so happy it actually started, what a feeling knowing that I did that, cant wait to get it on the road (or the dyno!).
My hands were actually shaking when it started, although they soon stopped when i had to put them over my ears!
Sounded like a dying camel when it first tried to start, then it just came to life!
Gotta think about exhaust now......2ft long side exit? hmmmm

This was the very start of it, the vid is a bit crappy but the noise!
What you cant see is the person with the camera phone is also holding a fooking big fire extinguisher!

Thought it was never going to get finished especially after the major oil leak from one of the cam seals! And the finishing touch.......

God these things pull like a fooking train from 2000rpm i can now understand why this conversion is becoming so popular think i am going to have to change the final drive on the box though, i drive everywhere in 4th now!

Im glad i did the swap myself, although there were many times i just wanted to sell the bloody thing, and want to thank everyone on here for your help advice and support during the last year (yes it took that long! although the mr was only off the road for 4 months! lol).

Do i now qualify to be put on the owners register?
