Another fellow MK er!!
You'll find that the Supra 4 pots are identical to the ST205 Celica 4 pots and will fit the bolt pattern on the mr2 hub, not sure about the mk2 I'm sure someone will advise shortly

Don't think the sillycar brakes fit Mk2's do they?

Plug n play (ish) on a Mk1 so trade in yer probe and get a real car to fit your brakes too. ;)

lol nah I wouldn't have fought the gt4 brakes would fit as they are 5x100pcd fitment but the supra is 5x114.3pcd an olberj my mk2 is too far gone to give away now although I wouldn't mind seeing what a v6 mk1 is like as the v6 mk2 is pretty good. I Just wanna know whether I need the supra hub or not to fit the calipers I would have thought I would need it

Just to let you know the Supra brake basically fit straight on. you will need a custom bracket to fit the calipers but they do fit. Skylighter on the MR2.org.au forums has bolted supra rotors onto his SW20.

WAB: you blind? hehe
As stated in the first post
You will need custom brackets to fit the supra calipers. The hydraulic handbrake should not be a problem. move the hydraulic handbrake over from the supra anyways cause the MR2 handbrake suck anyway.

Cheers

ok well I'll order the calipers and discs I'm doing the front tho. So WOB your saying I won't need the hub to fit the 302mm brake I can just fit it an fabriacate a bracket for the calipers!!

the 302mm disc is from the TOYOTA/Supra//3.0 Turbo (MA70) (86-93)? 22mm disc thickness as opposed to 32mm std mr2 unit? I'd rather use the 320mm dia and 30mm thick discs from the TOYOTA/Supra//3.0 Twin Turbo (93-96).

Are you running wider wheels on the fronts as the hat height is different from the mr2 v supra. You may run into tyre rub on the fronts if they currently sit flush?

I've often thought about going an OEM parts bin brake upgrade as pad options are easier, callipers are dust sealed etc but getting the parts to match has been the issue. That and being able to give someone a hub / disc / calliper / strut and say make them fit lol

edit - infact aren't the std rear mk2 discs 298 x 22mm so fitting the supra is 4mm bigger than the std rear? I'm guessing toyota chose 275x32 for a reason??

what mk2 is fitted with 298mm? I have a rev2 turbo an the brakes look tiny under my 17". I never new the supraTT had 320mm I haven't ordered any parts yet so still researching. I'm doing all round as my rev2 brakes have never impressed me an the fact that I'm dumping more power in the 2 just makes me worry even more about the braking system!!!

rev 3+ brakes are alittle bigger than rev 1/2 if i remember right.

not by much tho. still, they do look alittle small, even on my stock 14's.. lol

my bad I thought they were 298mm

rev2+ have the same brakes fronts are 276x32mm wide and rears 282x22 -

rev2+ brakes don't fit under the 14's either though having never had the parts to try I'm taking someone else's word for it

supra Twin Turbos have 325x30mm discs but the hat height is listed at 50mm which is 3mm bigger than the mr2 so my 8inch front rims would start hitting the arch

so welsha mate is the 325x30mm supra front or rear brakes? also what wheel would i need to fit comfortably over the brake I am looking to go for 18" alloys

that's the front brake disc and 17"+ will cover it fine BUT watch the caliper spacing and wheel offset otherwise you'll foul the wheel spokes with the caliper or smack the wheel arch with the tyres.

what caliper for the front are you thinking on using and are you going to do the rears and space out that caliper to keep the std caliper with handbrake mechanism?

It's certainly something I'd like to do to mine as my front calipers / carriers are a bit gubbed
