Is this a good price and is it a good S/C for a 1MZ?

Should it have an actuator or somthing?

One sold on the UK Bay for £266 last week, was watching it for some reason! Week before, one off an XKR went for £165, no reason why that couldn't fit?

Might be worth looking at a gen4 Eaton M90. They apparently have an integrated bypass valve.................not that I'm looking at these :)

Major wonga required matey :(

Lets say someone got a bargain when I sold the Vortech :hand:

A good Eaton M90 can be had for £2-300, should be more than adequate for a low blow with an option for more boost later on. Just a question of adaptor plates/snout length/clearances. Damn why can we never know this until it's actually bought and have a go fitting

That'd just make things too easy mate.

Ultimately the V6 is very much "suck it and see" at the moment. We need some trailblazers.... :P

looks like an SC14 at best and wouldnt be much use on a supra straight six really! well would be ok but nothing like the standard turbo setup so a step back IMHO

I was reading about a guy who fitted an M90 to a Ford Ranger, completely home made setup. Very interesting, also seemed to complete it for not much wonga.

Another confusing thing to sort out is which one is best, there are quite a few different versions, but from a quick scan 3rd generation with a separate bypass control valve would probably work best for what we want to achieve.

Time to try it is now as there are loads of cheap ones going on the bay. I guess the best person to speak to with regards to the pitfalls and trials of homebrew supercharging would be Goldy?

I believe SC-14 was bolted to the supra in Japan and Australia, you guys never got it, it was a bit to good for the poms :driving:

got any links or info as I cant see that would be an ideal setup for a 3l straight six but would love to see the setup and some figures for it.

1G-GZE
The 1G-GZE was a supercharged version produced from 1986 till 1992. Output was 168 hp (125 kW) at 6000 rpm and 167 ft·lbf (226 Nm) at 3600 rpm

However i might have made a mistake, after research i cant find any info on it being in a supra, so i still might be wrong.
