I've noticed that after i did the wiring on my swap, the oil level sensor was lit up (oil in the sump ignition key to on, car not running) even though i dont recall wiring it up as it wasn't mentioned in the guide. Is the sensor ecu providing an earth for it as a way of checking the bulb? Or is it a type of failsafe system where light will be on if theres a fault in the circuit?

This isn't wired up, so we take the bulb out. You still have the oil pressure light which is active. However, as a swapper I'm sure, like me you will check the oil more often, then relying on the oil level light. I found when I had my 3S, the oil pressure light on the dash comes on before the oil level light if there's a problem. If you do figure out the wiring, kept us posted.

Cheers Garbe, will try and have a look at it this weekend - add to the 1001 other jobs that still need doing. Should have done this before i put new oil on though!! doh!
