My clutch started slipping today, upon activation of full boost :driving:
I blame the missus driving it before me,

Anyway, I desperately need it fixing before next sunday 16th for round 1 of the sprint series (which I've already paid for) and don;t have the time or skills to do it meself.... questions....
1. Are pattern parts OK or do i really need a toyota clutch?
2. I'm a bit nervy letting a garage loose on my baby, is there anything different about changing a clutch on a mk1.5 compared to a mk2t?
3. Anyone know a competent garage in the harlow / stansted area?

Cheers peeps

Theres a garage i use in Great dunmow, their not the cheapest, but i wouldn't trust anyone else with my motors.
Give them a call Feirn Engines 01371 875344

I personally would never use a cheap pattern part clutch, did it once on my daily driver and it lasted about 500 miles. Took it back and the motorfactor gave me a full refund, saying 'yeah they are crap, we have had loads of returns'

Thanks for the advice! I'll be in touch with BSM and Feirn Engines.

I've heard good things about brakes international, they do 3 OES clutch kits:

SCK2727, 224mm, 20 splines, £51.50
SCK7037, 236mm, 21 splines, £130.35 (bearing doesn't fit 3sgte)
SCK2715, 225mm, 20 splines, £69.25

Which one is right for a rev1?

Not to worry, I'll leave it up to the garage to sort out, I'm giving Feirns engines a go
